Bloomquist "BQ" York is a dramatic dahlia with richly colored blooms in deep burgundy and wine-red tones that soften and fade beautifully as the flower matures. The densely petaled blooms have an elegant, slightly tousled appearance that adds depth and movement to garden beds and floral arrangements. Held high on exceptionally long, strong stems, this variety is a standout in the cutting garden and brings a moody sophistication to late-season bouquets. Hybridized by Paul Bloomquist in Lynden, Washington and is a part of the Triple Wren Farms Legacy Program. Blooms measure between 4-6 inches and plants in my garden grow 6 feet tall.
