DAHLIA TUBER

Sherwood Peach

$15.00 / tuber

Sherwood's Peach, hybridized by John W. Sherwood and introduced in 1944, is one of the most celebrated heirloom dahlias ever introduced. This giant informal decorative variety produces massive 10- to 12-inch blooms in glowing shades of peach, apricot, and bronze, accented by a subtle lavender-purple haze on the reverse of the petals that gives the flowers an almost illuminated quality. The loosely arranged, fluffy blooms bring exceptional texture and romance to floral designs, while their remarkable size creates an unforgettable presence in the garden. Despite being introduced more than eighty years ago, Sherwood's Peach remains a favorite among flower farmers, designers, and collectors for its unique coloration and timeless beauty. Its warm, antique palette pairs effortlessly with blush, cream, mauve, and café-au-lait tones, making it one of the most sought-after dahlias for wedding and event work.
